I haven't, but if your residence permit has been approved, then you're in the system as being a resident of Turkey. We've had members at that point who have re-entered Turkey without yet having their card, and the visa police could see that they were residents, and let them back into Turkey as residents. So your card is probably in some transition between the immigration office and the post office, and you should receive an SMS from the post office soon.

Seven days. Wow, that was fast! May I ask which province you applied in?

Hi Ken thanks for the reply apparently there is a technical fault with the website if anyone else tries to check their status of application and nothing shows go back to the home page and then recheck status of application and bingo it shows up thankfully along with my Ptt tracking number ! We are in Bodrum Mugla and my wife's card was very quick although I did collect it from the Ptt depot as we was passing anyway .

Great! I'm glad to know your card is on the way.

I applied for a long-term residence permit on June 2nd, 2021 and it's still not in the system yet. They collected all of my documents and gave me a tebligat (the document saying they'll process it and that's all), so I think it's still in a pile waiting for somebody to get to it. LTRPs take longer anyway. I tried what you described above but it didn't work. So I think mine just hasn't been entered into the system yet. I'll give it a week or so and try again.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised Bodrum is getting them back so fast!

You can get a family residence permit for your son, but the family residence permit is only good until the expiration of your work permit, which is one year for the first residence permit. You might as well apply for short-term residence permits for both your mother and your son. The difficulty in renewals of the short-term residence permits are only applicable when the applicant doesn't have a good reason to be in Turkey, and that only applies to certain countries. You should be just fine applying for short-term residence permits for both. But to be sure, call the immigration office helpline at 157 and ask. It is always best to get information directly from them.

You might as well go for two years. The only issue with that is that you might pay the fees for two years, then the immigration specialist gives you one! So you might go to your appointment without paying the fees and explain to the immigration specialist that you wanted to make sure he would give two years. Then at the end of the interview you can go and pay whatever fees you have to pay and come back with the receipt.

If the immigration office is one of the main provincial ones, there will be a vezne (cashier) where you can pay. If it's one of the local branch offices like they have in Istanbul, you'll have to go somewhere else to pay.

This RP is finish 1.10.21 and i want take 2y now but son passport is valid till 05.02.2023 … It’s possible apply for 2y then just when change passport bringe to ic goc idaresi and show? Or I must apply for 1 year and 3 months?  ( I can change passport first at December 2022)

I should have explained that it's actually during the appointment. The immigration specialist will tell you at the end to go and pay the fees and come back with the receipts. Then your application will be complete.

You can only get a residence permit with a duration up until 60 days before the passport expires. Are you saying your son's passport expires on 05 February 2023? Then he can only get a residence permit up until 7 December 2022.

60 days before 5 February 2023 is 7 December 2022.

If you apply for your son's residence permit with a duration having more time than that, the immigration specialist will at most give an expiration date of 7 December 2022.

When your son gets a new passport, the new passport information needs to be reported to the immigration office within 30 business days. Then when he extends the residence permit he'll do the extension application, with another appointment, and pay the fees again. At that point he could get a two-year residence permit because he'll have plenty of time left on his new passport.

For you to get a two-year residence permit, your passport must be valid for 365 x 2 + 60 days = 790 days.

Then I will try for son 1 year and 2 months.. I hope it will be good.

im wondering if I pay all tax (mom and son) online before appointment, and something go wrong they don’t let me to take (mom 2y, son 1y2m) can I get money back?

Thanks a lot for answering my questions!

You can pay online, or at least try. I tried it and it wouldn't take my US credit card or even my Turkish debit card. Apparently it wasn't from a participating bank.

If you go to the appointment without first paying the fees, then at the end of the appointment the immigration specialist will direct you to a cashier where you can pay. Then you can pay and come back with the receipt. If it's in the main, or provincial, immigration office, there will be a cashier there.

Hello

just to update information…

Today I had randevu.. No interview, just give paper on desk.
I applied for me and mom for 2y, and son 1 year and 2 months.
I gave: Application form, 2 photos, sigorta, rent contract, copy of passport and copy of kimlik.
And freiend gave me taahhuname, so for him also I gave copy of kimlik, that he’s not married and that no have criminal record.
After they check everything they say that I go to pay in Vezane and paid and go back gave papers. Officer gave me teblig ve tebellug belegst, and say go home and wait kimlik will come maybe 7 days maybe 1 month.. max 3 months.

So I hope that’s it :)

it’s now possible, that they not give me? Officer say everything is ok, go and wait :)

Thanks for the update, Ninna! If they received your package and looked it over, then you probably have all of the documents you need. Unfortunately everything still must be reviewed. I don't see why they would reject your applications. They can be quite strict in Istanbul, not so much in Antalya. Unfortunately there is always the chance of a rejection. The tebellüğü (tebliğ-tebligat) is just a memo saying they received your application and will process it.

You'll know the applications have been approved when you receive an SMS messsage or e-mail from the immigration office. It will say your applications have been approved and that the cards are being printed. In the past, for me, it's taken another 40 days after that to receive it by registered mail, but I've heard of lots of people getting their cards faster.

When the PTT (post office) receives your cards, they'll send you an SMS message saying they're in the process of being delivered. There will be a link you can use to track the delivery. You can also check on the immigration office website to see if your applications have been approved. See this article on checking on the approval and tracking delivery of your residence permit card:

That page is kind of confusing I think. The system finds your application using your application number, your communications preference, and your identity information.

In all cases, you must enter your application number. So that's the first row at the top, and there is only one application number.

In the second row it's asking for your communications information. So enter either your mobile (cell) phone number, OR your e-mail address. You only need to enter one of them (not both of them).

In the third row is your identity information. So enter either your foreigner ID number (if you already have a residence permit and are extending it, OR your passport number. You only need to enter one of them (not both of them).
