Hi All,All the posts in this section are fairly old and so am wndering if there have been any warnings or heightened awareness as the toutist season has started?

I haven't had any. I'm on the US Embassy's mailing list, and normally they're pretty good at updating any Americans living here who are registered with them. No news is good news, I suppose. Haven't heard of any terrorist activity related to tourism or expat areas at all so far.

Lets hope its a quiet year, im on the UK mailing list for the British Embassy and ive not received anything since before Christmas but wondered if there was anything mentioned in local papers .

Hubby hasn't mentioned anything other than the ongoing campaign against the PKK in the east. I'll ask him if there's anything else and report back. :apach[1]:
