I over stayed my 90 days

Hello Guys,

I can use an advice please, I'm a U.S. citizen and I overstayed my 90 days, I think it was 95 or so, and left for 10 days (I paid the fine in the airport), obtained a new visa and reentered, they told me that I have to apply for a residence permit within 10 days, which I did, it was denied, which I don't know why.

So if I leave now, can I pay another fine and come back after 8 months or so? And if they ban me, how long would they ban me for?

Thank you.

I you just got rejected, you should be able to take whatever document you received and leave with that, with no fine and no ban. You can get a new visa and return, the rule is that you can only be in Turkey for 90 days in any 180 day period. That is done by counting back 180 days and seeing how many days you have been in the country. There are also online "visa calculators" to assist you.

See this article:

90-in-180-Days Rule
