Hi Jasmin

I think I would just stick with the interview date you have and let them correct the mistake at the interview. In my case the system would not allow me to enter my Foreigners ID - I had to leave it blank. If they gave you an interview date you need to go to that with your documents. Don't post them.

You can cancel your appointment but you would have to get a new application in and a date by February 12 otherwise you'll be fined. If you're in Istanbul there can be weeks at a time when the system just will not give you date.

I might be wrong but I think the system of filling your application and printing the application is totally separate from the actual system they have for giving the Ikamet. At the interview there seems to an awful of typing in at the screen by the Mudur whilst you sit there quietly wondering why he needs to type so much when everything is on the form and in the system. For instance although our new address was on the form he had type it in all in again into his system.

Hello dear grahamn yes i am in Istanbul, i live here for a year&my card ll expire 12february & now its time to renew , i filled everything yesterday in ikamet website as same as last year but i heard people same my case send their all documents by post ptt  when they fill their info in goç/ikamet website (acceptable  time to send only in 5 days after application requests from website&print it) but for me after i put all my info system gave me appointment date/time in April 20 2017 . It just made me worry if I don't post and go there by April/20 &if they reject my case!

No you will not be rejected. At the end of the online form filling you are given one of two options - either print form and post everything in via PTT OR you will be given an appointment date. But you can't choose - if the PRINT and POST option is given to you then you must do that. If you are given an appointment date you should go to that. 95% of people seem to have to go to appointments these days. By the way if your appointment is in the afternoon I would go about 3 hours at least before the appointment because they are very busy and people with 3pm or 4pm appointments are told to come back another day.

Hey,

Yes It can be a problem and they can ask you to get another appointment with new address and if this is the case specially in Istanbul it may mean you have to wait another 3 months before new appointment date. If you have already taken the appointment the best action is to visit their main office in Eminyet Fatih and narrate them your situation and ask them for a solution possible; they will get you better.

And if you are given a date and a time; it means you can not post. You should not post. When you need to post; the appointment date and time fields are left empty or dashes;

Good luck.

Hi everyone, I put my request here because the post is recent. I hope that it's on the right place.

My resident permit is ending on 20th of May ths year. I should extend it by taking an appointment to GÖÇ but the website is not leting me to do this: on the first page after I filled my infos a pop-up message is coming that the request is "already processed" which is not true because I didn't start the process yet.

So, should I go to GÖÇ in person and ask there to get an appointment?

In the mean time, I'm planing to move from Turkey in summer. So if I go to France at the end of my resident permit, when I come back few days later may I enter the territory within the 3 months non-visa, as a regular tourist?

Thanks for your answers

I had a similar problem. As soon as I submitted the first page I would get a warning message and couldn't get to the second page. When I went to the Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM) and explained the situation to one of the specialists. She said they were not allowed to access foreigners' applications directly through the system, but she took my information, took out her iPhone and accessed it that way with no problems.

So apparently this can be fixed by using a different computer or a different browser, or both. I have actually fixed the problem in the past by using the "private" option on Firefox  (why that works I have no idea). Anyway, try using another computer, or another browser, or both. If that doesn't work you'll need to go to the DGMM.

Thank you so much for your answer.

Unfortunetly I've tried from 2 different computers and my smartphone, in private session or not and it's still giving me this error message... I will go to the DGMM then. Thanks again

Sorry, I forgot to answer this one.

Yes, you can come back as a tourist. The residence permit is a completely different thing, and doesn't affect your ability to return later as a tourist.

Good luck at the DGMM, I hope you don't have to wait too long. I've used the online system a few times and every time there is some issue that causes me to go there. In Antalya, I just go there and ask to speak to an immigration specialist and they figure it out.
