Wind Turbines on the Bodrum Peninsula

There is a project to put up 13 wind turbines (and then some more) on the Bodrum peninsula near Geriş.  It seems a crazy idea to put them in such an already overcrowded place when there are empty peaks just 30 kms away.

The country needs the right energy mix. There is room for wind, solar and HEP. The issue is that none will work properly without commitment from the government. If they remove the VAT on this equipment, and make the red tape less onerous, then more private investors will spend their money adding to the power grid. Most roofs have room for photovoltaic. We have been told that to set up large scale PV system on our land that it needs to be declared 'marginal agricultural' land. We cannot even put panels down between the (Dwarf) trees that we planted 10 years ago.

And now we have power cuts as there is not enough supply,.............. and us ready to invest our own money when we have some support from the government instead of obstacles.
