Hi everybody! I have been living in Turkey for 5 years. I am married to a Turkish, so I have a family residence permit. I would like to start working on platforms like Freelancer, Fiverr, Upwork, etc., so the payment would come from outside Turkey. Do I need a work permit? What kind? What is the system for paying taxes for foreigners? If the revenue would be less than 40000 TL, should I pay taxes? Thanks!

Hi There, I'm trying to get some confirmed information as it appears to be a very grey area and no one have been able to advise as to whether it is legal or illegal. I work for a UK Garden company based in Cornwall my job is via the internet (freelance) doing the administration and accounts. All the customers, services and revenue is in the UK and I pay national insurance and tax in UK. I am looking to settle in Turkey and because my job is internet based I can work from anywhere, the question I have is with all the above in mind would i need to get a work permit to continue this same job

Hi everyone, I intend to move to Turkey to start a business. I do online business, basically I create websites either selling services or products online. What Turkish papers should I hold after launching the business (residence permit, work permit,...)? I've been warned of getting used o

I live permanently in Turkey and want to sell, on-line, holiday accommodation in Turkey. There would be no office, and all the 'work' would be on-line, and payments from customers would be to a UK bank account. I am thinking that as a UK citizen, the easiest way for me to do this to avoid any work permit issues, is to set up a UK limited company - it would be me and a Turkish Citizen only as directors and there would not be any staff (other than us). Is this correct? That by doing this I wouldn't need a work permit?? I've searched previous threads and the only one I can find dates b

I currently live in the United States. I plan to marry my Turkish boyfriend and am considering a move to Turkey. We would be living in Istanbul. I am 51 years old. I work full- time for the United States government. I rarely see jobs become available for the US government in Istanbul so I am looking for other options for work. I work my own Ebay business part time and I occasionally work teaching English online as an independent contractor on a Japanese website. I do not have a teaching degree. Would I be able to work on Ebay in Turkey? My business is registered in the United St
