My younger stepson has started a university course and we thought he could do with his own transport. I did offer to get him a 200cc or 125cc motorcycle but all he wanted was an RKS Pollo 50cc scooter: I am quite tempted to get myself a motorcycle, though I am not sure my wife would be happy about it. A friend is considering moving to Turkey on retirement and has said that if he does he will buy himself a Royal Enfield 650cc Interceptor.
Hi guys, Sorry to ask so many questions on this forum. For the past 2 days I have been reading endless posts in different forums and info is either outdated or contradictory. Here goes; If I want a 50CC scooter - can Idrive it on my normal foreign licence or do I need a special scooter licence. I thought a drivers licence is OK for 50cc but then I read it isn't. Secondly, electric scooters, is it true they don't need registering and they also are exempt from tax and mot? Thanks,
Hi I have bought a scooter and have a residents permit tax number and kimlik number. When the garage man tries to obtain the number plate and types in the tax or kimlik number as asked on the form it comes back systen down try again, I have checked the same with my wifes numbers and get the same answer, however when the guy typed in another Englishman he had sold to his came up straight away with his name on the form. Do I have to go totheNufus office and tell them I am living in Turkey before I can register my scooter, or is there another problem any one knows about? John
