Hello, My landlord caused serious problems for me on the day i was to move into the apartment. He sends his agents to tell me that the house is not available for rent at the last minute (I have a document showing my agreement with the agents on that apartment). They show us a different place with the same landlord and we agree that we would not stay the whole contract. The new place had small issues that we dealt with, but the main problem now is the water. It has this black particles that cannot be ignored and have made the water completely unusable, yet he insists that there is no such problem and we cannot leave the apartment. We cannot keep living in this condition. I would really appreciate advise on the matter. Thanks
Hi Everyone, My name is Mehmet Ali BARUT , I am 49 years old and working as a real estate agent in İzmir at Demka Gayrimenkul. Last night I was talking to my sister in law Merve BALIN, who is attorney at law in İzmir and I guess she is well known person in the group, mentioned about this forum. Today I'd like to join the group and realised that I am a member since 2011. I understood that some of you worked with an agent to buy/rent property from Turkey , Some were glad but most of you had problems with the agents. I am not glad about the sitiuation of agents in Turkey. Most of them are retired form Military and want to make additional money on their salary. The law of being real estate agent is newly handled by the goverment and is tried to improve the conditions. Anyway , I am working in İzmir and can give you secure and safe service. At our office there are 9 agents and 5 of them can speak fluent English. Please do not hesitate to contact me for your requiries. Bye.
Hi, my boyfriend and I are looking for a flat we can share, I will live there when I am in Turkey. He works in Kemer, so we are looking at flats in Kemer or in the nearby area. Usually people rent for a season or a year. I am fine with commiting myself to that. We discovered in additon that the renting market seem to prefer that you pay rent for a WHOLE year in ADVANCE. I have never before heard of such a way of doing it! I don't have any savings, and neither does he, so to make this happen I will have to take up a loan, credit card or similar. We are trying to find something that does not require us to pay so much in advance, but rather allows us to pay a monthly rent (I can mange 3 months deposit) and electricity. I wonder if anyone has heard of this practice? In addition to the economical strain, I fear that we would have few rights if they wanted us to move out for some reason.
