  1. Hi I'm Sean from Toronto. Currently living in Alanya, but would like to relocate to kas or another beautiful city like Antalya or Izmir. I'm looking for a nice, safe and quiet place with internet, beautiful view, and easy access to nature. So How easy is that to find a decent place to rent in kas. How about Safety...access to the restuarant...supermarket... Any suggestions or recommendation about living in kas, or Izmir, or Antalya would greatly be appreciated.
  2. If you want to get a residence permit while in Kaş, you will need to get health insurance. If you choose to get the state health insurance plan, under SGK, as opposed to buying private insurance, you will need to go here to apply for it. Open from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
  3. Since 1923, Turkey's touring and automobile driver's association has provided tourism services and facilities to the general public. The often maintain a wedding salon next to their offices. They also produce Turing magazine, which is in Turkish. Note: This organization no longer provides any services relating to driving licenses. For that, you will need to make an online appointment at your local Nüfus ve Vatandaşlık İşleri Müdürlüğü (Population and Citizenship Directorate, or Nüfus).   4. The Kaş branch of ASAT, which is the local water company, is where you need to go to get your water connected. You can also pay bills here, or at any PTT (post office), or participating bank. You can find the banks which take the payments on the back of your water bill. Open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Turkey's national customer service number for water problems is 185.   5. Kaş TEDAŞ is where you need to go to get electricity connected to your home if you live in Kaş, Antalya. You can pay your electric bills here, at the post office (PTT), or at any bank listed on your electricity bill. You can also have your electricity payments deducted automatically from your bank account, by taking your electric bill to your bank and filling out an application. Open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Turkey's national customer service number for electrical problems and information is 186.   6. The Türk Telekom office is where you need to go to get your telephone connected in Kaş. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.   7. The Carrefour Super is one of the main grocery stores in Kaş. Their main customer service number may be called toll-free at 444-1000.
  8. Migros is one of the largest grocery stores in Turkey. It is also one of the largest grocery stores in Kaş. And if you need to get bacon or pork products, you can get them here. Open from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Their nationwide customer service number (free) is 444 1 044.
  9. Kaş Devlet Hastanesi The state hospital of Kaş county, located on the coastal road (D-400) between Kaş and Kalkan. The website has an English option. Their toll-free appointment line is 182.   14. The Nüfus is where you need to go to register your address in Kaş, or apply for Turkish citizenship. Open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There is also a national toll-free customer service number you can call at 199.

  16. You can catch both inter-city coaches going to several major cities, and also to local towns and villages at the Kaş bus station, or otogar. You can also buy a ticket from the major and local bus company offices. There is also a couple of small restaurants/cafes where you can relax while waiting for your bus.
