Please, Any suggestions of companies' names for insurance : let's say the minimum requirement to get the Residence permit , what do they offer the best prices ( age range 30 - 40) ? SGK is it a government insurance ? Is it possible to get one if no yet Residence Permit per year ? Also, what I understood that if you're a foreigner you pay more than a turkish in a hospital, it's both for government and private hospitals ? and if you have a turkish friend , you can convince them to pay as a local.. This may seem strange to some but here goes... I have been in Turkey for four years now. I have had to go to the hospital 3 times. Once was before the law of needing insurance was in play and twice after the law came. Now I admit that sadly I do not have insurance and my visa is expired. I plan to stay a bit longer and pay the fines and take the ban when I go. I have my reasons for doing this.. however... My SGK-insured father recently agreed to undergo surgery to correct a problem he had with his vertebrae in Alanya at the private Baskent hospital.
