  1. Hi, My usual research skills have failed to turn up what I need so I'm hoping for help from the forum. Are there buses from Izmir Bus Station to Cesme Port where the ferries to Chios go (when they're running of course)? I've looked at all the companies I can think of but am getting no information. I'm after a website, timetable and price. Thanks in advance.
  2. Foreigners are overcharged for even the most inexpensive things at Bodrum and Cesme restaurants. This is shocking news for all of us. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tourists-in-bodrum-eat-the-worlds-most-expensive-dinner.aspx?pageID=238&nID=70593&NewsCatID=349
  3. Hi everyone! We will be in Çeşme/Alacatı next week and we were wondering if any venues will be showing/or have the capability to show the Super 14 Rugby Final next saturday. My parents are travelling from Australia and my Dad would be heart broken if the NSW Waratahs finally won a title and he missed it. Are there any pubs or bars in town or around the area that show these types of games? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nathan.
  4. The quiz nights start again at Ibo's bar on Monday 28th April at about 8.30. All welcome.
  5. Hi I am new to your forum, my husband and I are travelling for a few days from our apartment in Altinkum and we would love to spend two or three nights getting to know more about Ceseme. We are usually lucky and find a very cheap pension to met our needs but not knowing the area I was wondering is this possible in Ceseme or is the accommodation mainly beach front hotels, which may be a stretch too costly for us. If anyone could give us some advise on this we would be very grateful and who knows we might just end up at your pub quiz!!
  6. Hello Cesme Animal Lovers, My husband & I are travelling in Turkey in our caravan and have been staying a couple days at Pirlanta Plaji (kite surfing beach) southwest of Cesme at a fenced but seasonally closed campground (N 38.28425 E 26.25018). Our visa is expiring and we must leave tomorrow (Sunday 3/16 for Greece). As usual, there are many stray cats visiting the trash bins but one in particular is in need of assistance. It is an adult cat with a left eye that appears to be missing or badly hurt and infected, no doubt hindering his search for food.. He/she is quite wild and defensive but we have fed/watered the poor creature and it appears to be struggling to survive and in need of medical attention. He/She has shown up in the afternoons hoping for food. We have been unable to find any contact info for an animal shelter nor animal rescue in Cesme on line and in a desperate search for help, have stumbled upon this forum. Can anyone help this poor kitty? We can try to get a picture to post this afternoon. We are at the furthest western end of the camp near the children's play swings. The cats are mostly at the far western end in the forest and visit the trash bin there. We have left water and food for the hurt cat in front of a small outbuilding across from the swings. Thank you so much for listening. Sandy [email protected] or [email protected] www.bstruckin.com
