  1. IbrahimAbi, Thank you very much for your reply. Points noted. Greatly Appreciated. Shaukat
  2. IbrahimAbi, Thank you very much for your reply. It is very comforting to know that this Amount falls within our plan budget ($1000.00-$1200.00 pm) which will be from our savings. We do not plan to work once we move to Turkey. Since we are retiring early, our pension/Social Security will not kick in until another 3/4 years. On the plus side, both my wife and I do not drink alcohol. Can anyone chime in on the other 2 questions: A few things still unclear to me: 1.) How much should I allocate for the residency fees. We both have US passports. 2.) How much do we need to show in our Turkish bank account for the 2 years. Greatly Appreciated. Shaukat
  3. First I would like to say that this site is wonderful and I have learnt a lot from it. I am from California USA. My wife and I have decided to take early retirement by mid of next year (2020). Last year, we made a trip to Alanya and we loved it so much that we bought a one bedroom apartment on the beachfront in Mahmutlar. The building was still under construction and now it has been completed and ready to move in. Our real estate agent has already our TAPU in our names. We are planning another visit in September (2019) and plan to apply for the 2 year residency permit for property owners. This site was instrumental in educating us on the process.. I submitted a request for a quote for private insurance from this site and received a quote from Selma. A few things still unclear to me: 1.) How much should I allocate for the residency fees. We both have US passports. 2.) How much do we need to show in our Turkish bank account for the 2 years. 3.) From your experience, since we already own our apartment with no rental expenses, what is a realistic monthly amount, we need for a comfortable life style with the assumption that we also buy a car. Appreciate your responses as it will help us plan for our retirement in the best way possible. Regards, Shaukat
