All the banks compete with each other & their interest rates vary from time to time. If you open an account they usually offer a higher introductory rate of interest for 1 or 2 months, just to attract your business. At present Vakıf works well for us but it could change anytime. For example they gave us 14% for a few months, then dropped to 13.9% for 2 months, then the latest time suddenly 14.5%. Depends on the amounts you invest & how long you want to keep it there. If you are not a citizen they will ask to see your passport & possibly residence permit (I'm not sure because I got citizenship quickly because my husband is Turkish). It's best to go and ask them, but remember, not all of them speak English. Good luck to you !
