  2. Hi all I've been waiting for (any new about) my renewed Ikamet for 2 months now and have to leave the country next week... The e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr website states: Does anyone know where one can find the Directorates locations? I'm in Istanbul but only see Adresses in Ankara on their website. Can It be that it's necessary to go to Ankara?!? And what fees are they asking for? Hope that maybe anyone here has experience with this issue, Thanks a ton! :DrSnap
  3. OK thanks, I guess we'll see. I went to the Nüfus Müdürlüğü and they accepted my new rent contract with no problem and gave me a stampted proof of address document "Yerlesim yeri ve diger adres belgesi" for the ikamet process. I just moved so I'm well within the 20 days and I'm applying for a new ikamet anyway, so...
  4. Hi all, New problem arose when filling out the renewal application yesterday. I wonder if anyone else has seen a F'ed-up form when they download the PDF? Me and my girlfriend both got the same error in the PDF document (and only there) where we had selected "Other".   5. Hi All, What a great resource on how to navigate the Ikamet labirinth you all are! Just one thing I couldn't figure out yet: Address changes. Last year I reneweed my short term Ikamet in Mugla, where I was living at the time. (My proof of address was the short term rental receipt of the place I was staying there). Now I moved back to Istanbul (Beyoglu) and need to renew my Ikamet again. 1) How do I handle my address change? 2) Should I do it on the Nüfüs müdürüglü? 3) Do it Before I apply for the renewal or is it done automatically with the renewal? 4) Do I have to sign out in Mugla first?!? Added complication: I'm moving again a few days before my Ikamet expires and my current landlady whom I'm subletting from doesn't want to get involved with the official stuff. so, 5) What would be the other forms of proof of address? I'm thankful for any guiding lights in this bureaucratic maze! :DrSnap
