1 pointThank you very much. That is exactly the type of clear and concise post I was hoping for. We were aware of some of these but not all of them so it is extremely helpful. Things have already been looking up but this just gives us even more confidence.
1 pointFrom 14 January 2015, birth registrations and death registrations in Turkey will transfer from the British Consulate General Istanbul to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in the UK. There are no changes to the entitlement to register a birth or death. The processing time will remain the same. However, you will now need to allow extra time for the documents to be sent to and from the UK. You will pay online and download an application form through the "www.gov.uk" website. Full details about what documentation you must send and where to send your application will be available for Turkey on "www.gov.uk/register-a-birth" or "www.gov.uk/register-a-death" from 14 January. Until that date please contact your local British Consulate or post a question on this page for advice.
