Hi can you tell me how many digits/ letter etc a turkish passport number should have, am filling in application for my partner and he sent it to me and i wanted to check it is correct

The number in my husband's passport is like this 12-234567-89. The last number refers to the year it was issued I think.

Thanks sunny, i am still confused as my partner sent me a 6 digit number and then i googled it and another forum said a nine digit number and your husbands has ten digits lol

i want to get the correct number as it is for a visa application

can anyone else shed any light on this

The passport number is the 6 digit number that is on the top of the Turkish passport. It says TR-L No: and then 6 digits.

This is definitely the correct number as my husband had to use it on his visa application form.
