I'm afraid I can't help you at the moment as there is a problem with the Izmir Belediyesi web page.
I've been trying to get the web page with the bus routes and timetable up but unfortunately the page is broken. I tried it a few days ago as well and the same thing happened but they have not repaired it.

The best and quickest way is to get the Metro from Konak to Bornova and then get the free shuttle bus to the Forum Centre.

beware the buses dont/didnt seem to be so frequent in the evening, i dont recal the time or the dates or even day but last time we shopped til eve time (easily done) and needed the shuttle bus somewhere and it didnt come at the stated time. I admit it could have been late and it was dark and miserable so altogether i ended up hating the bus! In fact we ended up having to get a taxi to our friends house as there were so many people waiting for this elusive bus with ikea bags etc we knew it would be a nightmaire even when it did arrive.I dont recal the taxi being particulary expensive....just as a backup!
good luck happy shopping....

Well if he can't help with the buses at least he'll be able to help with the bags!
Another thought. As Dande said, IKEA run courtesy buses. Why don't you give them a ring and see if they do any to Konak or Alsancak, and then report back here of course?
