This is a newbie type of question I apologize ahead of time if its elsewhere in the forum but I was trying to figure out how much is the average cost of living in Turkey, hard to gage just from vacations spent there but for example in the states I pay for the wife and I:
Elec. 280sqm home, $345 avg monthly
Groceries, $300-400 monthly
Cable tv/internet $110 monthly
Telephone cell, $125 monthly
2 cars insurance, $98 monthly
Garbage, $25 monthly
water, $65 monthly
clothes, $100-200 monthly
Misc. entertainment/eating out etc, $300-400 monthly
I know allot of this depends on the type of lifestyle a person is accustomed to but I am asking an example for the upper mid range if possible.

If those amounts are what you are used to paying then I don't think that you will have a problem here.
I for example added up my electricity bill for the past year and it came to about £450 so about $600 for aprox the same size house.
If you change the $ sign for TL I think that should be about right except the garbage tax is a lot cheaper here.
You will find benzine -gas a lot more expensive also cars and meat.
