Mobile technologies are developing further through their integration with financial services now. Financial services area is among the six fields Turkcell plans to expand its business in the upcoming period, says an executive of the firm, urging the expansion of near field communication, or NFC, technology.

Payment via mobile phones in Turkey is expected to reach 500 million Turkish Liras in 2012, according to an executive at Turkey’s biggest mobile phone operator.

Speaking Tuesday at a press conference, Cenk Bayrakdar, chief product and service management officer, said financial services is among the six fields the firm plans to expand its business in for the upcoming period.
