I waited 2 weeks, no müzekart.
I phoned 0312 444 6893 to ask where it was.
The woman who answered explained in an extremely poite way that I should not have applied because it says clearly on the muzekart.com that it is only available for TC citizens. No website with that address is available (from my computer at least), the only site available is https://satis.muzekart.com/index.html which is all in Turkish and, as far as I can see, does not say that only TC citizens can apply.
She explained that the application system they have accepts any 11 digit number, and they check each application to see if it is valid.
She assured me that as my application was invalid the fee paid would be refunded.
So there we have it, the statements that say the card is available to those with residence permit that have appeared on various forums and blogs and elsewhere on the internet (none official) are incorrect, at least at present. It would be interesting to know how this disinformation originated, and it would be helpful for the information to be corrected so as not to waste people's time.

and yes i fear the worst too.
hub wont be pleased if he isnt refunded.
i certainly didnt see anything on the website in english to announce it wasnt available to us Fil either.
maybe it was added recently?? see what we did!! ha ha
god remind me what being married to a turk gives us Fil? apart from love, respect..i mean who pays when you go on trips? doesnt it create an argument your entrance fee being silly prices and theirs free or less?!...well i can only pray to one day get hold of my elusive discount card and tour the lovely country that is Turkey on equal terms with my hub..and get the right digits to punch in where appropriate....for now i hold up 2 of my special digits in true peed off fashion to the authorities and say..**********
whats my residency for then really?
i mean dont get me wrong though Fil stranger things have happened in Turkey and im glad i have tried til now for this...i do believe some people managed to get this card maybe gov are hotter on it now than before re. applications..was it really a waste of time? i mean if we get our money back at least we have our own answer now and did the experiment..i would have taken it on my self but u got there 1st!..i dont mind to experiment with my hubs money and time!
and anyway its still not a deffo no no until the fat telephone helper lady says NO TURK NO CARD...(wont be the 1st time i have had someone say similar) ..i shall still await post for a few days yet. no guns at dawn if it does arrive though mind you Fil pls.

Techman, I looked at the website on a different computer with settings that fit more of the page on the screen, and saw the bit that says TC citizens only. I wonder if it was there all the time or a recent addition. It wouldn't surprise me if they have had several applications from foreigners recently given the (mis)information that has been going about.
Actually, I haven't paid to get into a museum for ages as I always take a group of students with me if I want to go somewhere. The down side of that is I have been to Antalya Museum 15 times now!

I have updated my first post with the link to the application form (which does not show the information) to say that it's not available to Residence permit holders.
I clearly stated in my first post that we were awaiting information as to whether it was available to Res. Permit holders.

they called my husband..very nice polite lady mentioned there was nothing she could do apart from give a refund...seemingly including the 2lira fee for using the card..so total 22 tl
she said there was one option...finding another friend who wanted a card and just swapping the details (and they pay us cash in hand) or send a letter / fax saying we would like money back..just formality as Fil mentioned above...
so will do this week and see how easily its resloved..i guess pretty easily as they seemed very polite and did admit the bigger text or area stating only to Turk kimlik holders was newly updated on the home page...
i dont think Fil and i/hub would have applied had we seen it at all small print/big or otherwise..which we of course stated and she said it possibly it wasnt on there at the time we applied..hence her politeness and friendly manner
oh well live and learn
