Hello all,

We are most likely moving to Incirlik this summer.

I have three children (13, 11, and 7) who play piano and/or violin.

I am looking for english speaking teachers to help my kids continue their study.

Anyone have any good suggestions about where I should start looking?

Thanks!

One of your options is for them to take the lessons on base.

Check out www.39fss.com under the Community Center section.

The Youth Center also has several programs/activities for kids.

In addition, you also might be able to find some local lessons taught in Adana by English speaking teacers.

Good Luck.

Maybe a dumb question, but how would I begin to look in Adana for a piano teacher?

Are there yellow pages?
Do businesses typically have websites in Turkey?
Is there some main way people advertise services?

Finding out *how to find things out* can be such a huge learning curve in a different country!

Thanks for you patience with me!

You will probably have to wait until you get here to do that.

You're right about probably having to wait....

We're in Germany now and I wished I'd found out more about what was available before we arrived. It makes a big difference in getting the kids excited/willing to move if they have things to look forward to.

Thanks very much for the suggestion to contact the band/music teacher at the school. I bet he/she will be a great resource.

I also saw Adana College which seems to have lots to offer.
