The sand sculptures are especially alluring at night.

Has anyone actually been to this show? I still haven't got round to it. How much does it cost to get in?
Yes, I went 2 years ago and it was FANTASTIC! A day I will remember all my life. I highly recommend you to go. The 'sand castles' are out of this world and quite amazing, with lots of little summaries below each one about what they relate to - Greek literature - Turkish history - culture - etc. I don't remember the exact price then and it's probably gone up in the past 2 years but it was not expensive. I think about 15 Lire.
However, we drove with a Turkish guy from Side (where I live) who did not know exactly where on the beach in Lara it was. We had to stop twice to ask the locals as it was not signposted well at all and not evident from the roadside.
I also have a wonderful booklet with all the colour photos of the 'sand castles' that day. That also was very reasonable and in English - again, about 10 or 15 Lire.
DON'T MISS IT !!! PS: I will be going again this year with friends who have never been to Lara before.
Kind regards, Angela
