Artev Not To Be Trusted
Posted 20 April 2009 - 11:24 PM
New to your forum, have been looking for info on Tapu and came across your website.
I have bought a property through MRI (Artev Build) FCC Phase1.
There appears to be a problem with value on tapu, under declared value on tapu.
I paid Tax @ 1.5% 103,000.00 euro however the price in lira is about 50K short if you use the historical exchange rate on the completion date.
I have receipts to show what I have tax I paid.
So others beware that this has been done by my lawyer to suit the seller, not me. I will demand that it is rectified.
I am also a member of www.flamingo-country-club.com
There are a number of members who are trying to get their contracts declared null and void and fighting for full refund, may be worth joining ranks.

I have been scanning the internet for all signs of Artev (Global) Homes keywords.
It seems that a high percentage of you are unhappy with the build quality of your property.
If you put in Artev Damp in Google, you will be very surprised. No less than 7600 references to Artev Global damp problems.
Q. Are they doing anything about the damp?
Q. Did they doing anything about the damp last year?
Q. Did the repairs make any difference last year?
Resorts build by Artev Global, formally Artev Homes.
Oh, why did they change their name?

There are so many disgruntled Artev clients out there why don't you get yourselves together and create yourselves a presence on the web and get your message out - to save others from your fate. If you need help I'll give it - get in touch. Anyone who has suffered at the hands of Artev please get in touch with me and tell me your story.

Our biggest problem at the moment is with the site at Apollonium. There is a big issue with the facilities as Club La Costa who were put in by Artev behind owners backs to manage the site, are claiming the main facilities, swimming pool, indoor pool, health spa, etc. are not part of the site we bought into and are trying to charge extra. Also beware of what you were quoted as CAM fees - ours on Apollonium have doubled before we even start and that's apparently without the communal facilities which were sold to us on our site plan.
I also feel the build quality is poor, the villa is certainly not worth the money we paid for it.
All these factors have totally devalued our investment and I would say Artev are definitely in breach of contract. I have to admit I would have walked away from the purchase last year and just lost the money but my husband thought we should continue with the purchase. I wish I had, it is just not worth the stress of dealing with Artev.
We have just got back today and we have spent a week basically fighting with the solicitors and Artev - this is no 'dream in the sun'.
We all need to fight together from all the sites to take Artev to task but how that will happen I do not know but I am sure it is not impossible. What is difficult is finding a good, trustworthy solicitor in turkey. We had the misfortune to deal with Kazmaz. A word of warning here. For those of you still dealing with them who have not received your Tapu yet. If they are holding it they will try to charge you an extra

I am new to this forum and forums generally, I am really sorry for all of you who have been miss led and miss sold properties by Artev, I very nearly suffered the same fate, I looked at Buying on the Royal hights project, when I looked at the structural build quality i nearly ran a mile, when i asked to see the construction drawings and specifications ( which is normal in the rest of the world for a new build ) they were rude to me and asked me to leave ! I have worked in the construction industry for the last 30 years so i know what to look for, I love Turkey, the people and the culture so i was not put off, I bought some land near Tuzla and am about to start building 20 apartments and 2 villas, project managed by a UK project manager and built to UK quality standards, I will be putting a full advert on this site and others for our development which is called Lagoon View, please send me as many comments about our development as possible so we can make sure we cover every potential concern

I'm sure everyone will have something to say about ideas to incorporate in the project.
Would you like to post a little about yourself in the Meet and Greet forum so that everyone can see we have a new member. Welcome again.

Hello i am new to the forum, could i ask who you took your contract out with? why i am asking is that i am in the same horried situation... i put a signifigant deposit down on an off plan at the Appollonium site, and ended up in a situation where i could not proceed... they have totally bullied me into purchasing.... i have not .. i have had my exsisting contract looked at by a Turkish solicitor ... and much to my delight my contract is not legally binding and i am entitled to all the monies back plus interest ... but you need money up front to go ahead ...
Anyone thinking of investing with Artev, tread very carefully.
I was misled by their sales rep in order to secure my purchase (a fact that they even
had the gall to acknowledge). However, they were not prepared to refund any money
unless I paid a huge penalty, as stipulated in my contract. They didn't seem to think
that they had done anything wrong!
After months of attempts to get them to look sympathetically on my situation, and reduce
the penalty, I have now been advised that they will not refund ANY money, unless I take
court action which is costly and may prove unsuccessful.
What should have been an exciting chapter in my life has turned out to be an absolute
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

I can recommend you two lawyers for Bodrum. Because I knew them personally. They don't work together and you can contact one of them. I've added their addresses below.

We have bought on Turquoise. It is our second year now using our apartment and apart from very minor damp problems this is news to us. We have met many owners whilst out there and have yet to meet anyone who has major damp problems.
Wait till it rains Tilly!
