Hi all,

a friend of mine is staying in Turkey for 90 days (May-August), leaving, and coming back again (in September). He doesn't have a residence permit yet but his appointment is booked (October, the earliest time slot available). He was unaware that the visa run thing no longer works, and he is worried they won't let him back into the country (he's a journalist doing work here).

Does anyone know if residence permit appointment papers will work at customs? Will they let him back in?

I'm not sure they will let him. It would be a good idea if he could check it out in person at the police station whilst he is here at the moment..
