Interesting dressings.
Summer is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to dust off those old salad recipes in time for cool lunches and dinners on those hot days.
I love to cook as much as anybody, but in the heat of the summer, I prefer to have a nice chicken salad sandwich or a nice big green salad rather than prepare a whole meal. Chicken salad can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. The ingredients for green salads can be washed and prepared and stored beforehand as well -- just don’t put on the salad dressing until you are ready to eat it, otherwise the ingredients -- especially the leafy ones -- will wilt

Up to a week??? Yes, if you want to risk food poisoning!

Yes, you're right about storing for a week Sunny,
I didn't see that bit as I was more interested in the dressings. I saw a picture of him on Facebook and he looked a lot different that I imagined him to look.

I had a look on Facebook after you mentioned it Abi and he's bald !! I don't find bald attractive at all. He probably had an allergic reaction to eating chicken salad that had stayed in his fridge for a couple of weeks and his hair fell out

I'm always bugging Kaan to make me a salad...he just seems to make the best salads, and when I try they never taste quite right :s But I could never imagine storing it for a week....even the day after it never seems to taste as nice!!

My MiL makes cracking salads.
Although I didn't like it at first on the odd occasion I come home to find a saucepan full of home made soup and a freshly made salad in my fridge.
We only gave her the keys at the very start so she could be in for the IKEA men...
