Hello,
it seems that people from this forum are really helpful, thank you for sharing all the information and your experiences. I am a Romanian citizen and I just wonder if I could apply in Turkey for a residence permit for touristic purposes, in case I have all the papers and money needed. I've read all the information around here but I've noticed that most of you here are UK citizens, so I wonder if anybody knows if this rules apply also to Romanian citizens. Thank you very much!

Hi Reyhus and welcome to our forum. As Romania is now part of the EU I would think that you would be treated in the same way as Brits regarding rules and paperwork, so I can't see there being a problem. If you want to be 100% sure you should contact the Turkish Consulate in Romania or go to the Yabanci Buro in the city where you will be applying for it.

Good luck. :)

Hi, thank you for your reply. I was sarching on Internet and it seems that these rules apply to all UE countries except Romania and Bulgaria :-( thats because we are so special I guess :-( anyway, I'll take your advise, just to be sure. Meanwhile, if you hear something about this, please let me know :-) Thanks and all the best!
