I was surprised by the low turn out really considering how may expats live in Didim, only 40 attended, whilst the turn at out was good at Akbuk where 80 people attended

TWO meetings attended by scores of expats was the order last Wednesday as they were given updates on a host of topics and issues from British Consul officers.

Re turnout when the consul came to Antalya very few people knew about it and my friends and İ heard about the meeting 30 mins before it started so a bit of a rush to attend. May be a communication problem.

That a shame Aine, is there an on line expat newspaper for Antalya at all?. The news about the meeting in Didim and Akbuk was reported in plenty of time and I even posted about it as well so there was no excuse. It's a shame you only heard 30 minutes before hand but good on you for making the effort to go.

I hope the numbers don't drop any more as the Izmir Consulate may decide it's not worth doing which would be a great shame.
