I don't know if it's the forum or my laptop but the page has gone narrower so I have 2" margins at the side and they are black.
Is it the same for everyone?

Me too. As I am new I thought that was how it was supposed to be.

If you scroll down to the bottom left of the page you can change your theme to the normal IP board skin (no black sides)

Unfortunately Vic that only changes the colour that is on the page. I'm talking about the off-page background. I don't remember it being black. At least the margins are only half an inch now. I think Ken's been playing in the basement again. Posted Image

I think Ken said it would be 'skinny' not the right word I know, for a while. I believe someone is going to take care of that but can't at the moment because they are busy.

I use the standard IP board theme and I don't get black edges.

Thanks Vic. I wonder why mine changed? It's much better now, back to blue, the black was very hard.

There are several "skins" or themes available for users. At the moment the blue one with the black background is set as the default. But any member can change their personal default skin back to the old one, just go to the bottom left, click "change theme," and select "IP.Board." There is also one for mobile devices as well as several colors in the new forum look and feel.

One of the reasons the new theme is narrow is for readability. If it's too wide, the eye has difficulty leaving the right side in mid-sentence to find the continuation of the sentence one line down on the left side. Or at least that's the idea behind it...

Errr, thanks Ken. I knew I could change it but I didn't , it happened all by itself. That's what I was querying.

Sorry for posting this in the wrong section, but that is my problem - I can reply to posts but I can't browse other sections of the forums or open sections to create a new thread. For example I get page not found when trying to open Suggestions and Bug reports.

http://www.turkeycen...nd-bug-reports/ gives me Internet Explorer cannot open this page

Is there something I should change in my settings?
Thank you

I think that if you didn't change your theme and you used default one, you got automatically the default theme which has this black background :)

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Vic I just clicked on the link in your post and I can open it. I'm baffled really and wondering why it's happening to you. Can you send Ken a PM as he might not see your post.

I cannot open it either with IE 9.

I can open it in Firefox or Chrome so it seems to be an issue with IE.

I just tried it with IE9 and am having the same problem. I've made an inquiry about this to Invision Power to see if there is a solution for this. The problem does seem to be with Internet Explorer.

Problem fixed. There was indeed a misconfiguration causing problems with Internet Explorer, but it should be working for our IE users now. I sent out a bulk e-mail to the membership regarding this. If anyone is still having problems, let me know by using the contact form or by posting here.
