Lee held discussions with students and urged the younger generation to contribute to the development of South Korea-Turkey ties, noting the two countries’ alliance forged in blood and potential for future advancement between their countries.
Students of the Korean language and literature department in the university showed keen interest during a question and answer session over the kind of support they can get in landing jobs in Korean companies after graduation.
Lee said he believes some 100 college graduates who majored in Korean language and literature would be needed every year as he explained that bilateral trade is expected to reach ten up to 20 billion dollars soon. He told the students that they can hope to work in a Korean company.
After wrapping up their visit to the university, Lee and First Lady Kim Yoon-ok attended a dinner hosted by Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
