I know its rival PSN is present there, but what are the limitations of PSN in Turkey (areas of availability, purchases, etc.).

One thing you might want to look for is whether the system is compatible with PAL format games (standard DVD format everywhere except the US). The US uses NTSC format, which will not play PAL games. I brought my Wii from the US and can't buy games here because of it, but as it turns out it's cheaper anyway to have family in the US purchase them there and ship them; games are VERY expensive here (a halfway decent game here will start at 100TL and there's no "used games" section like they have at places like gamestop).
On a related note, if you're bringing DVDs also, you'll want to look for a DVD player that has no regional restrictions (I found one at MediaMarkt for around 100TL and it works fine on both our Turkish and Amerikan DVDs)
