I think this is only going to affect people from nations, such as Russia, who don't have reciprocal agreements about buying property. If the bill goes through then quite a few more foreign nationals will be able to buy property in Turkey.

Unfortunately, the article makes no mention of changing the procedure to help prevent fraud.

I'm just wondering after reading this '

According to law a list of forbidden military zones, military security zones and strategic zones will be identified and any changes to these areas will be determined within six months following the enactment of the law' if they are going to produce this list and if it's given to the Tapu offices that it might/would speed up the Military Searches as hopefully the Tapu offices would have this list to hand and therefore people would be able to get their Tapu almost immediately. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

It would seem logical to do it that way, Abi, and would save a lot of foreigners being ripped off between signing an agreement and getting their Tapu. But, playing Devil's advocate, if there were areas or districts which had undercover activity which should not be known to the public as it would be a breach of national security, it would be useless then to publish them to all the Tapu offices.
