Hi,

im thinking to buy a house around Izmir , means more outside Izmir...something modern and nice

anyhow, as i looked around in the Internet, it seems to me some houses are far to expensive as they should be.

Does someone knows a inspector for houses who is an expert seeing any mistakes at the house ( buildwise) and also can estimate the real price what the house is worth ?


Maybe even a building company which speaks english and has a EU standard when they build houses plus are not scamming me with the price ??

We are in Izmir and not in Istanbul and im not sure if they sometimes put a fantasy price up as far as I know, Izmir area ( maybe besides Cesme ) shld be still a cheap place to buy a house .

but when i read 800.000 TL for a house its a bit too much what i expekt ... and are far more expensive as in Germany

I suppose you mean a surveyor ammo? I'm afraid I don't know any personally.

If you want to check house prices take a look at http://www.hurriyetemlak.com/ http://www.milliyetemlak.com/

On those sites you will be able to get an idea of the prices in the area you want. Even in the Cesme area (Ciftlikkoy, Ildir, Germian and Ovacik) you can find houses starting from about 120,000tl but be warned that people have been know to suddenly up the price when they see a foreigner.

But if you look at the prices of other similar houses for sale in the same area it will give you an idea if the prices is reasonable or not.

hmm... i dont think this works this time, its a very unique house at a place where not such houses excist ... so i cant simply compare

_{surveyor...good point ! i have often wondered where would one find such a person within Turkey to check over a property regardless of price - to give one quality feedback about a property and its condition inside and out.

my father in law , gives me the contact to an architect ...hmmm.. actually it was very clear that an architect should know about such things
