Not a very happy prospect. Didn't we have enough when we were growing up in the shadow of the bomb?

Good point Cukur but wouldn't it need to be sealed and some sort of clean air system put in place so that we aren't breathing in contaminated air?.

It was all a bit "duck and cover", if you know that?
But, exactly my thoughts, Abi.
There is no sealed room, no ventilation, so my only conclusion was that it was convenient for the emergency services to find everyone in one place (dead OR alive)!!!!

Of course, those in power will have sealed shelters with the filtered air. The rest of us can trust to luck. :(

Still on the plus side if Ahududu is the in the canteen at the right time, the ladies will be able to whip up a meal even if it has to be eaten under the table. Posted Image

I had an interesting ride back from work yesterday afternoon in the dolmus.

2 transvestites wearing strapless maxi dresses, high-heels with painted toes got on.
Plus there were the usual long-coated, head-scarfed women.

fascinating!!

Crumbs that was a bit foolhardy wasn't it?. Not sure I'd be brave enough to do that if I was them.

Well, they had a wonderful, calm confidence about themselves, which even a woman dressed like that wouldn't have had, I feel.
They knew they were being watched and stared at, and a fat women next to me moaned in my ear, but I didn't acknowledge her - she was probably jealous of their figures!!!!
They laughed at me because I didn't have he strength to open the window, and we waved to each other as I got off the bus - they made me smile, and cheered me up somewhat!!

That was and experience! A friend of mine used to live in a street in Alsancak (Izmir) that transvestites seemed frequently walk down looking gorgeous inspite of their five o'clock shadows.
