Hi,
Does anyone know whether a samsung tv purchased in UK will work in Istanbul? Will it receive the channels in Turkey?
Thanks,
Aylin

Hi, the telly itself will work in Turkey no problem, though your gonna need a dish or 2 an set top box to get it going,, i have a dreambox which sure must be available in Istanbul an apart from BBc1 there isnt much we dont get...
Beware bringing it in though as anything that transmits a signal is liable to customs tax which i think is around 56 percent of what the customs officer thinks its worth..

How does the dreambox work Cleopatra?
I'm just about to move into a new place and would like to get a nice little set-up going on.
What are the costs and logistics? Do you need to have a dish?
And what sort of channels are we talking about?
Sam.

Thanks, Cleopatra.
The person at Currys was telling me about the box and I was totally confused! Haha!!! Would I need the dreambox to get just the channels in Turkey? Is the box more like Sky, etc to get the additional paid channels?
56% tax is toooooooooo much!!!!
