Hello All!
I'm going to be heading to Incirlik next June-ish with my wife, 8 yr old, and 1 yr old. Very excited to finally get over there...my family and I love sight-seeing, and checking out national heritage sites, which I understand they have a lot of. I've spent most of my career over in Asia (Japan and Korea), so this will be my first time seeing the Eurasian continent. We are currently stationed in Okinawa, which I'm not too big a fan of...we are ready for a change!

I'm sure I will have questions, but I cant think of any right now. Just wanted to say hi, before I resume reading through all of the message boards. Special thanks to all of pics of base housing! I really hate that we have to live on base, I'd love to be more immersed in the culture, but I understand the reasoning. But it's nice to at least have an idea of where we're going to be living.

Does anyone have any experience with the DoDDs elementary school on base? It's not like I'll send the kid anywhere else, but just curious if it's liked/hated...

Welcome to the forum Greg. We have many members on here that have been or are situated in İncirlik base so I am sure they will all be along soon and help you out. xxx

Welcome to our forum Greg. I'm hoping that one of our Incirlik members will give you the low down on the school. If you enjoy sight-seeing, and checking out national heritage sites your only problem will be finding the time to visit them all as there is sooo much to see.

Greg,
Welcome to the forum.
I've only been TDY to Incirlik (was stationed on the Aegean side in Izmir).
I recommend viewing the 39AW's videos on Youtube:

There's some interesting stuff & info on just about anything.
I've only heard good things about the Incirlik school.
Best of luck & CONGRATULATIONS on getting assigned to the best place on the planet in my opinion.
