Really good news, I loved the Judges summing up of O'Kane at the end of the article. I hope he gets a long sentence.

A Co Antrim businessman has been unanimously convicted of an international property scam

The Belfast Crown Court jury of seven men and five women deliberated for just over five hours over the last two days before finding 52-year-old Kevin O'Kane unanimously guilty of 25 charges of obtaining money and property by deception.

O'Kane, an oil and coal merchant from Ballyneese Road in Portglenone, was unanimously acquitted of two similar charges as well as one count of using a false instrument, namely a set of fake property deeds.

Since the trial began almost three months ago on 16 September, the court heard that he had duped seven people into thinking they were buying luxury villas in the sunshine resort of Gumbet in Turkey and that in total, they handed over half a million pounds between them.

O'Kane claimed in numerous meetings in Northern Ireland and also on site visits to Golden Beach Villas, that he was the landowner and developer but as one victim told the court, O'Kane "didn't own even a blade of grass"......

But at least some good news for these people who have seen their dreams dashed and have been been fighting for some time for justice to be done.

Jail warning for bailed Turkey homes conman

The £4.5m conned out of the victims of a Turkish property scam was simply “put into a bucket with no bottom in it”, a judge has said.

Belfast Crown Court judge Mr Justice McLaughlin also warned conman Kevin O'Kane (52) that he faces “only one outcome” following his conviction on Friday of 25 fraud charges.

Mr Justice McLaughlin freed O’Kane on his own bail of £1,000 with two cash sureties totalling £40,000 on condition he reports daily to police and observes a 9pm curfew.

Earlier, prosecutor Liam McCollum QC said Turkish officials have allegedly reported that nothing is left of £4.5m paid into the bank account of a decorator.

The monies, he added, were taken from the account by way of cash withdrawals.............

That's a bit of satisfaction for the people he's stolen money from but it looks as if they are very unlikely to get any of their money back.
It would be good if The Turkish government did the same with others who have defrauded property buyers.

Although it doesn't affect me it make me feel that yet another scumbag is laughing all the way to the bank with other peoples money, I wondered where he has hidden it all?

Sadly. whilst he may get a jail sentence by the time he gets time off for good behaviour etc, I doubt he will be inside for long.
