If you open and read the whole article it was interesting to read in the last paragraph how they intend to get the money to pay for the revamp.


THE REVAMPING of the promenade along Altinkum's Main Beach is to cost 2 million TL.

The spending was disclosed when Didim Council discussed its budget for 2012 at Monday November 21 meeting. The 2012 budget was approved as 67.2 million TL by a majority. Director of Technical Works Aynur Gönül said that 2012 would be their year of investment.

He said: "We need about 2 million TL to rearrange the Yali Avenue promenade and 1.5 million TL for development of the city square. "We will also require 1.7 million TL for asphalt of 300,000 sqm; 144 thousand TL for a different type of asphalt of 115 sqm; and 1.115 thousand TL for 200,000 sqm cobblestones. "These are approximates and we will further need money for supplying goods, for tenders and staff. This all adds up to a budget of 30 million TL.......
