Hi All,
I’ve been reading through the advice on teaching – very useful - thanks a lot.
We were in Istanbul in September and think it’s the city for us. We’re coming back again from the 18th – 27th November to do more exploring and to make sure it’s the right choice.
Although we’re not planning to move until Sept 2012, I thought it might be a good idea to send my CV and a covering letter to some schools & universities – in the hope that some may like to meet me. (I have TEFL and a good bit of experience)
Is this a good idea? If so, should I have my CV and introduction letter translated into Turkish?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Jim

Hi Jim,
It wouldn't hurt to send your CV out. I don't think you'd need to translate your letter, but make it brief. You could then follow it up with a phone call when you are here. Bear in mind that some places won't have the time to meet you at this time of year, but there again, one or two may, and that's all you need!
Good luck.
