Perhaps I should practice the Tonic sol-fa outside a selection of stores in protest.
On top of this, Şok have stopped selling alcohol.
Maybe all this is a bad dream and I’ll wake up soon!

I saw on facebook the other day on Ibo's cafe about the shortage of tonic. I wonder if there is a shortage anywhere else in Turkey. Im hoping to pop to Izmir next week. If Im going do you want me to pick some up x

Şok was owned by Migros until a few months ago and is now owned by Ulker Group, so Şok are now under new management who obviously don't want to sell alchol.
Yes, I’ve only just caught up with the news that earlier this year Yıldız, the parent company of Ülker, paid US$381.7 million to Migros Ticaret for a 99.6% stake in Şok.
It is believed the company aims to change Şok's strategy from a centrally-operated discount chain to a centrally-owned franchise and to supply owner-operated stores from its Bizim wholesale business. But presumably no alcohol?
Şok have stopped selling alcohol!!! when?

Apparently, Şok stopped selling alcohol a month or so ago. We haven't an İzmir trip planned until late November so if you do go before then, a couple of bottles or so would be a real tonic for me! Thanks, Sam.
I did see the Efes fridge a couple of weeks ago but one item not there was . . . Efes Bira!

It was Schweppes soda that people in Cesme couldn't find a month or two ago. I don't know if the problem has sorted itself or not.

I have just been to Carreforre on the marina and they have schwepps tonic water for 1.55 tl a bottle. Its in the back fridge near all the cola and things.
No sooner read than done! Just been to Carrefour Marina and picked up some Schweppes Tonic for this evening's tipple. Unfortunately, they only have the small 250ml bottles at 1.55 TL. I am hoping the see the 1 litre screw-tops back on the shelves. Before they disappeared, they were only just over 2 TL each.
But beggars can't be choosers and I shall drink you health this evening, Sam.
