The opening of the new 3C’s charity shop resembled a "Next" Sale on Friday with people queuing up for the shop to open!
From the moment Dilek Dinçer, Director of FETAV, assisted by the Chairman of the Çalış Association, Mete Ay, cut the red ribbon to declare the shop open, it was all systems go.
At one point there were 50-60 people inside the shop with armfuls of purchases and the 3’Cs staff had to wait for some customers to leave before they could let others in!!!

I think its about time charity came to Turkey. The amount of times I have sorted through my wardropes over here and put black bags full of clothes in the bin is shocking. I have offered brand new clothes to a friend over her and she took it as an offence until I explained that I had to many clothes and theses were all too small for me with the labels still on and that I didnt want any money for them.

Yes Sam you have to be careful who you give second-hand clothes to. What I do is give them to the site betci and he distributes them.

I have learnt that lesson now Sunny haha. But I did explain to them that in the UK this is how we do it, I didnt mean any offence or anything and after that they were very understanding and thought it was a good idea. I would have cried if I had to throw all those clothes in the bin there must have been about £300 worth of clothes with labels on.
