Hello all

30 days till we touch down in side we are staying at the pegasos world resort..

What is weather like now and has any 1 been there ?

Is there any boat trips like a lazy boat trip

prices on full englist drinks ect

to our forum DarrennGill. Like Abi, I don't live in the Side area so can't help you with info but I'm pretty sure there will be boat trips available from Side. I think a large beer will be in the region of 5-7 lira in a bar but as always, much cheaper in a supermarket. If you drink local spirits they will be a lot cheaper than imported ones but drinks are no longer cheap in Turkey due to the tax on them.

Hello Darren and Gill - Pegasos World is an All İnclusive hotel so you probably won,t have to buy beer at all there - it is 5 TL in most bars ın Side for an Efes (local beer) and about 6 or 7 TL for a glass of wine. You can walk ınto Old Town Side from Pegasos along the coastline and ıt would take you about 45 mins. The best boat trıp ıs the Monday or Thursday one to Manavgat which costs 30 TL and includes lunch on board + a stop for a swim break + 2 hours free time at Manavgat market day. Drınks can be purchased on board but are extra. There ıs also a one hour boat trıp from the harbour just around the coastlıne whıch ıs nıce a relaxıng on a hot day - or the dolphın ısland boat trıp also but no dolphın seeıng guaranteed. Do visit Apollo Temple down by the harbour and the lıttle bar/restaurant just before ıt called Apollonıc for lovely fresh meatballs for only 4.5 Euros or theır wonderful Osmanısh dısh whıch ıs a typıcal local hot plate of beef + chıcken + veggıes. Lovely place to watch the sunset over the harbour there too. The amphıtheatre ıs worth vısıtıng although ıt costs 10 TL to enter - so too does the lıttle museum here ın the mıdst of the ruıns at the entrance gate of Sıde.

For a dıfferent day out - try whıte water raftıng ın nearby Taurus mountaıns - lunch ıncluded only 35 TL for the day - good for all ages from 7 to 70 yrs of age.

Yes we are all inc but its our 2 year anniversary on 22nd so want to go out for a nice meal to celebrate.
