Ok just for those who are living on another planet, no its just Turkey! You can watch (unless you are a Republician)the royal wedding on a large tv screen today in Cesme, much bigger than the one at Ibo's.
So, size matters after all, eh, even on a wedding day?

And interesting how they rode off in a sports car, instead of a carraige.

I'm not surprised, it was more like a set of antlers. she's been slated in the UK press and her sisters outfit.

Abi, as your little message from the Dalai Lama states, don't hurt them, they must have spent hours cultivating that look!
Actually I think that in the unlikely event that they join our forum and see my comment they would be grateful and thank me, as I don't think anyone would tell them.

Btw, as no one asked me as to the whereabouts of aforementioned giant tv screen, do I detect a breath of royal indiference in Cesme or just plain indifference?
I wasn’t surprised no one asked you where this giant screen was situated, Agamemnon. After all if it was so big (bigger than the one at İbo’s you tell us for no apparent reason) it could probably be clearly seen.
What does surprise me is that you submit this comment to a Forum dedicated to providing information to visitors and ex-pats and, although suggesting where perhaps we shouldn’t go, remain secretive on the (apparently) bigger and better screen, presumably hoping members or guests will be so intrigued they will ask you for more information. I don't think it's "indifference" it's just that life's too short!

Oh yeah, one more thing, did anyone who watched it feel just a little bit homesick?
Nah, me neither!

Nah, me neither!
I hoped you weren't keeping this information from us deliberately. Thanks for the explanation.
It was good to see snippets of the wedding (mainly the actual ceremony) and, of course, Britain does this sort of thing extremely well. But homesick? me neither!
