I have stumbled upon a website that compares various companies who will transfer money from one account another.

What I found out is extremely interesting, though unconfirmed.

The site in question is: http://www.fxcompare...&submitted=true

With that link you will see the transfer of 5000 Lira to GBP

At the top of the list, is a company called MoneyCorp, pay particular attention to the rate they offer. 0.8565
5000 Lira = £4282.26

This is accurate as of the moment of posting.

I think the giveaway is that there are five other companies showing the realistic rate, someone has obviously made a big boo boo there. £4282.26 will cost you over ten thousand Turkish Lira according to a page in the Moneycorp company's website.

Just got an e-mail clarifying it. The rate on FXCompared is for Euros, not Lira. Shame. Oh well, I guess it was FAR too good to be true. :D
